Join WiM Virginia for an Exclusive Tour of STIHL Inc. in Virginia Beach!

Recognizing that the U.S. was one of the largest markets in the world, in the 1970’s the Stihl family opened a manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach, Va. Today, over 2,400 employees, working in over 1.6-million-square-feet of operating space, manufacture millions of powerheads a year on the sprawling 150-acre STIHL Inc. campus.

In this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, skilled employees with the assistance of highly automated technology, work together to produce more than 100 models of STIHL equipment through vertically integrated processes and extensive quality assurance checks. These products are distributed throughout the country through 11 regional branches and distributors, sold through a network of more than 10,000 authorized local STIHL Dealers and exported to more than 80 countries around the world.

Hosted by the Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Virginia Chapter, this exclusive tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at one of the largest and most advanced STIHL operations in the world.

Arrival Details:

• Please enter through the security checkpoint on the left – staff will direct you to visitor parking.
• Must have photo ID at check-in such as Driver’s License or passport.
• All visitors must be 16 years old to participate in the tour.
• We’ll meet in the lobby upon arrival.

• Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes for the plant tour.
• Firearms are strictly prohibited on-site.
• Photography is not permitted inside the plant; however, there will be a designated area available for group photos.
